Aug. 1
(P1) Sometime between 1:30 and 6:30 p.m., a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlas, parked in the northwest parking lot, was broken into. CDs, valued at $300, were stolen. Estimated cost of damage to the steering column was $150.

Aug. 2
(14) A student’s bicycle was chained to a sign post, north of the SC building. After warning the owner twice,  the chain was cut and the bicycle was removed by College Safety.

Aug. 4
(14) At 4:30 p.m., a reported assault of a female by a male, adjacent to College Safety, was looked into. When officers arrived,  they found the woman, who was six months pregnant, with marks and scrapes on her clothing. City police arrived while the man remained in his vehicle, and the woman refused to assist in prosecution. The man was not arrested nor cited.

Aug. 14
(P5) A MCC electric cart was stolen and abandoned off campus, north of the northeast parking lot. A passing Mesa police officer found it at 12:45 p.m. The vehicle apparently did not lock since the steering column had been broken in an attempt to escape with the cart. The estimated cost to repair the damage is $1,500. The Mesa police officer said he saw two males driving the vehicle but got away before the officer arrived.
