Clubs with largest ASMCC funding
  1. M.E.Ch.A - $2,340
  2. Environmental Action Club - $1,637.60
  3. Psi Beta - $1,410
  4. Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual Education Leage - $1,2000

The Associated Students of Mesa Community College (ASMCC) have passed 27 new bills for the fall semester with pieces of legislation covering bylaws that regulate clubs, appropriations bills and changes in the ASMCC election code.

The Executive Officer Leadership Act now requires students running for an ASMCC office to first serve as an ASMCC officer, student senator, commissioner or volunteer.

ASMCC also participated with Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, an MCC Chicano organization, to create a student resolution expressing opposition to Arizona Proposition 203, which limits bilingual education for elementary school students.

According to ASMCC Senators Marsha Gonzales and Molly Alcala, students are showing a positive response to the Club Fundraising Assistance Act.

Under that act, ASMCC will match a percentage of the funds raised by each MCC club.
