SPOTLIGHT
Bomb squad robotSpotlight MCC’s Justice Studies Club presents "Justice Days" Tuesday April 10 and Wednesday April 11. On both days, come and test your aim with a laser firearm simulating a crime scene in progress, (reservations required). On April 11, in room SC23W, visit with the Mesa Police Department’s Bomb Squad and watch the operation of a bomb disposal robot. Also on April 11 is guest speaker John Black, Maricopa County Adult Probation supervisor. From noon to 1 p.m. in the Kiva Room, Black will discuss his first-hand account of witnessing an execution.   "Rhapsody"
"Rhapsody: Selections from Valley Collections" will highlight artwork by Arizona’s exceptional African American artists.
The exhibition will include work by such contemporaries as Lorna Simpson, Kara Walker and Radcliffe Bailey. The collection is showing through May 13 at the ASU Art Museum, in the Nelson Center.

MUSIC
  "Cliff Notes on Broadway"
MCC’s Act One Production group will debut its "Cliff Notes on Broadway" production March 29 at the Theatre Outback, featuring performances by music and theatre arts students.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. March 29, 30 and 31, and at 2 p.m. on April 1.
Tickets are $5 for MCC students, $8 general admission and $7 for children and senior citizens.

  "Gordon: Year One"
MCC’s Director’s Showcase presents "Gordon: Year One," adapted for the stage by Edward Lilliock, "The Understudy" by Joel Cranson and "Midnight at the Cafe Terrace" by Eric Holmes.
All three plays are written and directed by MCC students, and will be at the Theatre Outback’s Green Room April 12, 13 and 14 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5. For more information, call the Theatre Outback box office at (480) 461-7170.

  G.L.o.B.A.L
Members of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual Education League have changed their name to G.L.o.B.A.L, (Gay, Lesbian, open-minded, Bisexual Associated League). The club meets Tuesdays at 5 p.m. and Wednesdays at 6 p.m. in the Pima Room. For more information, please call (480) 461-7285.

March 1
An instructor found a green, leafy substance, believed to be Marijuana, in a classroom. College safety removed the substance and turned it over to Mesa Police for testing and destruction.

March 8
A male student reported that he observed another male masturbating in a restroom in the physical science building. When college safety officers arrived, they found a male sitting in a stall in the restroom. The individual said he was not a student or a staff member, but was on campus to inquire about a class he wanted to take.
