MCCs
Theatre Outback presents "Goodbye, My Fancy," written by Fay
Kanin and directed by Lyn Dutson. Heather Biehl plays the lead role of
Congresswoman Agatha Reed in this bright and satirical comedy, which is
described as a romantic comedy with a profound message. The production
will be held May 3-5 at 8 p.m. and May 6 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 for

Hot New Jazz
Jazz in Arizona presents Phoenix Vocal Jazz, one of the hottest
new jazz groups in the Valley, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kerr Cultural
Center in Scottsdale.
Tickets cost $15 and are available at the box office. For more information,

MCC Wind Ensemble
The Mesa Community College Wind Ensemble will be performing on April
26 at 8 p.m.
The performance will be held in MU14, in the music building, and
tickets are free.

Water Safety Day
Learn about the importance of Water Safety at the 2nd Annual Water
Safety Day.
The event will be held on April 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the
courtyard north of the Theatre Outback.
The event will promote water safety as well as drowning prevention.

Medical Lectures
The Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences
will hold different lecture series around the valley beginning April
24.
Lecture topics cover medical topics such as Diabetes, Cancer, diet
and weight loss, Menopause, and more. All lectures are free of charge

2001 Student Art Show
Students from beginning to advanced art courses have artwork on
display in the 2001 MCC Student Art Show.
Come view the final day of the show, April 26, from 8 a.m. to 4
p.m. in the Navajo Room of the Kirk Student Center. Awards were
presented on April 18 and students can view the award winning pieces.Some
pieces on display can be purchased for as little as $25, and as
much as $300.
Free Art Museum Tours
Dont miss this great opportunity to take a guided tour of
exhibitions.
The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, a non-profit organization,
will host free guided tours for the public on Sunday, May 6 at 1:30

April 12
Mesa police arrested a male, non student, for going to the downtown
Brown Road site, going into a class, and talking a female student
into leaving the room with him. According to police, he then assaulted
her.
A bicycle, of unknown value, was stolen from the
bike rack east of the EP building.
April 14
Safety officers received a report of a male student and an instructor
having a verbal disagreement at MCC Red Mountain.
For the second consecutive week, officers were
called to the track inside the stadium, in response to a report
of verbal statement. A woman, who claimed to have been verbally
abused, was herself accused of abuse by college students who were
using the stadium at the time.
