Baby rules for baby makers
Its well known that George W. Bush, and his administration, are direct threats to abortion and a womans right to choose. However, its not so well known that they are now fighting to take another right they want to abolish birth control pills. There are several key players in Washington trying to make the pill hard to get, and possibly illegal. The basis of their argument against birth control is that preventing pregnancy with pills murders the child by not allowing it to be conceived. To them the pill is considered a form of abortion. Pat Robertson, the founder of the Christian Coalition, a group whose purpose is to bring Christian morals into government, is also the leader of this band of idiots. His fight is to overturn the Supreme Court decision in Griswold vs. Connecticut allowing the states to make all contraceptives illegal. Judie Brown, the president of the American Life League, who has launched a full attack on bills dealing with birth control in several state legislatures. If these bills are passed they would require health insurance companies to cover the cost of contraceptives. These activists truly believe that by eliminating contraceptives and abortion, they will build the morals and values of America. Eliminating womens rights will not make mothers love their babies more. It will not stop teenagers from having premarital sex. It will only result in more unwanted babies in dumpsters behind grocery stores. What is the answer that will solve all the worlds problems? Dont have sex. Clearly the problem of unwanted children stems only from teenage mothers and promiscuous women. If they all stop sleeping around everything would be great, right? But what about the young newlyweds who cant afford a baby, or the woman who wants her career before she wants kids? Or what about the couples that just dont want kids at all? Maybe they should ask Robertson what they should do about birth control. Hes really good at making other peoples decisions. Obviously, young people cant make them for themselves.
