Aug. 23
(38A) An officer on patrol found a discarded syringe, east of the bookstore. It was disposed of.

Aug. 26
(42) A golf cart, stolen from the south side of the MA building, was found damaged and overturned near the tennis courts. The cart apparently had been “hot wired”.

Aug. 29
(47) Mesa Police and certified college officers teamed up to arrest a student who had three outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was held in lieu of $1,500 bail on each of the charges. MCC officers also charged him for supplying false information to them on a number of occasions.

Aug. 31
(35) A man presented a fictitious driver’s license to register for classes. When MCC officers spoke to him, he readily admitted using the bogus license. The investigation is continuing.

Sept. 1
(14) A student’s purse, left on a bench outside of SC20 for “five minutes,” according to the student, was stolen. $220 cash, debit and credit cards, car keys, her driver’s license, a check book and a banana were reported missing.
