Crying over spilled beer

Although many MCC students work hard, study feverishly, and sleep a full eight hours, we all must face the fact that college kids are known for partying. At some point in time, we’ve all attended a soiree or two.

We’ve also made a few mistakes.

Spilling beerParty fouls are all the stuff that make hosts and/or party guests rip their hair out. Of course, some people don’t mess up their own coif, they mess up yours. Josh Cook, 20, joked, "If I find one cigarette on the rug, I track you down and beat your head with a rock."

Seem a little harsh? "Nah, I use a small rock," Cook added.

So, depending on whose party you’re at, the consequences differ, but the offenses are pretty much the same, (note the top 10 party fouls listed above).

Want to play it safe at your next blowout? Here are a few words of wisdom from MCC student Kazia Jericho, 17. "Fighting isn’t something that’s tolerated, especially if it’s not your fight," Jericho said.

Obviously, jumping into a brawl just because it’s there isn’t a good idea.

Shea Sleight, 18, advises party attendees to watch their alcohol intake. "Yeah, you can get drunk, but once you start acting like a jerk to everyone, it’s time to go home," Sleight said.

Twenty-year-old Gary Brooks would like to make a request.

"My friends and I were cleaning up after a party once and there was gum everywhere," Brooks said. "It was in the carpet, on the walls, in the plants–we were (upset). So please, be polite. Use the trash can!"

    TOP TEN PARTY FOULS
  1. Spilling.
  2. Puking indoors
  3. Trashing the place (i.e., fighting, cigarette burns, breaking stuff)
  4. Getting totally wasted
  5. Sex on the host’s bed
  6. Messing with the music
  7. Being anti-social
  8. Getting too loud (cops!)
  9. Stealing keg taps
  10. Breaking the bottle
