"The Hangnail," by Shane Acker, is one of the new short films to premeire at the 2001 Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation runs through March 3.

For those people who just couldn’t get enough of "South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut," a new batch of politically incorrect cartoons are making their way in the Valley.

Spike and Mike, the same guys who brought "South Park," "Beavis and Butthead" and "Rugrats" out of obscurity are ready to unleash their 2001 collection of films.

Spike and Mike’s Twisted Festival of Animation is an assortment of short animated films that are too bizarre and grotesque for the prestigious and tasteful film lovers.

The 2001 Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation will premiere 16 brand new films as well as two returning favorites.

The Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation opened at the Valley Art Cinema Feb 9 and will run through March 3. Those with a strong stomach can call (602) 222-HARK (#027) for show times.
