Justin Lambright Key to future lies in learning from past
By Justin Lambright
Mesa Legend
I want to address an issue that was passed to me this morning. It is, unfortunately, a race issue.

Under the influence
Legend's View
Those of us in our tumultuous 20s, slaving through courses at MCC, are no doubt on a most important quest - to find ourselves. No, perhaps studying isn't that profound for the majority of us. A lucky minority knows exactly what field they want to get into and will not waiver until a degree is in their possession.

Elias Rodriguez Diversity proves to be dose of reality
Legend's View
I was born in Kansas City, Mo., 29 years ago, and went to a high school in the suburbs that eventually got a small dose of reality.

Students Observing and Scrutinizing
Influence from outside sources is a big issue in society today. We hear all the time about the media's influences on teenagers who commit crimes. We also hear about movies that inspire members of the younger generations to attempt dangerous and deadly stunts. In the past, some of the most deadly influences were cults such as Charles Manson's "Family" and the Branch Davidians who followed David Koresh to death. But how much compassion can we, as a society, show on someone who has been influenced and controlled into committing a heinous act or been involved in the murder of literally thousands of people?
