Hiring process under scrutiny

The Faculty Senate for the Maricopa Community College District (MCCD) wants to provide their students with the most diverse and qualified faculty possible. However, the full realization of this goal is being hindered by the current academic hiring cycle for MCCD, according to the faculty senate and administration.

 

MCC veteran honored as top sports leader in Valley

MCC’s Theatre Outback has nominated Billie F. Harris for the YWCA’s 2002 Tribute to Women Award as a sports leader. The annual award recognizes women whose lives and accomplishments reflect the YWCA’s mission to empower women and eliminate racism.

 

Dialogue to discuss slave issue

For the Mesa Legend As part of Black History Month, the MCC chapters of the NAACP and the Black Student Union (BSU) are hosting a panel discussion on the issue of slavery reparations to be held Friday, Feb. 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Kirk Center’s Kiva Room.

 

‘T-Bird Cafe’ lacks business, limits service
