In honor of Black History Month, the MCC Music Department will host speaker /performer Jimmy Heath.

The MCC Jazz Ensemble and Desert Mountain Jazz Ensemble will be performing at Desert Mountain High School, Wednesday Feb. 20 at 7 p.m.

"Out to Lunch," a concert series presented by the Mesa Arts Center, will be held from noon to 1 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday in February.

Native American exhibit
On Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002 the Heard Museum will open the 8th Native American Fine Art Invitational. The purpose of the event is to break down stereotypes about Native American art.

Twisted animation
Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation - an independent animation festival of which the likes of "Beavis and Butthead" and "South Park" were launched in to the mainstream - is coming to the Valley. The shows are on Feb. 17-21 and 24-28.
