Helping Out/Hunger Banquet
The Center for Service-Learning, Phi Theta Kappa and COOL Council will sponsor the first campus Oxfam Hunger Banquet.

New Student Center
MCC at Red Mountain held an open house for the new Student Center on Oct. 29.

Theater
The Theater Arts Department will present John Steinbeck’s "Of Mice and Men," directed by Gary Stephens.

Rehearsal for dance showcase
Spotlight The Annual Fall Informal Dance Showcase will take place on Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. and will feature performances by fall dance class students. This event will take place in the East Gym and is free and open to the public.

In the Oct. 30 edition, Cynthia Greening was incorrectly identified. She is not the Art Department chair.
 
 
 
 
Incident Log

October 17
On 10-16, a student college safety officer apparently placed his personal 35mm camera on top of his locker in the squad room. The camera was reported stolen the following day.

October 18
A report was received from the library at 11:36 p.m. that a male student was watching material that could be deemed as pornographic while manipulating himself. He was identified, a report was taken and a copy was sent to the Dean of Students.

October 22
A blue Roadmaster 18-speed mountain bike, valued at $100, was stolen from the bike racks adjacent to Theatre Outback.

October 23
An overhead projector, worth $5,000, was reported stolen from the MB building.

A report of white powder on the floor of the MultiUse Computer Lab was made. The Mesa Fire Department was called to the scene where they bagged and removed the powder. The powder was reported as harmless, yet it was forwarded to the State Department of Health Services for analysis.
