MCC’s Intertribal Student Organization (ISO) produced a Native American recognition day Nov. 19, honoring Native American veterans from the Gila River tribe in Sacaton, Arizona. (Left) Traditional songs of thankfulness, forgiveness and honor were performed, while students were able to explore an authentic teepee. (Right) MCC student Kacey Damaty peers out of the top opening of the teepee, while an American flag stood in front of the teepee.
