Piano Concerts
The MCC Music Department Piano Festival will take place at the Theatre Outback on Jan. 26. The students’ solo and duo concerts will start at 7 p.m. Admission is free for this event.

The faculty concert featuring Larry Clapp, David Murry, and Ruth Yandell will take place Jan. 27 at 3 p.m. Tickets for the faculty concert are $8, and proceeds will go to music scholarships. For tickets, contact the Music Department at (480) 461-7575.

Dead Kennedys
The Dead Kennedys are playing at the Bash on Ash Jan. 25 along with Total Chaos, Glass Heroes and another local band which has yet to be announced. Tickets are $17 and are available through Zia Records. You can reach the Tempe Zia Records at (480) 829-1967.

Stevosux.com
On Feb. 6 catch the RX Bandits, The Exit, Yellow Card, and Slowpoke at the Nile Theatre. Feb. 8 the Stevosux.com show features the Wiggunms, Split Sevens, Logik, Scary Kids, Felix and many more.

Earth Mother Mind Jam
Earth Mother Mind Jam will take place at Nita’s Hideaway from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Jan. 26. This is an all ages event featuring Vince Welnick (originally from the Tubes, Todd Rundgrens Band and The Grateful Dead). Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate.

There will be three stages and a bar for people 21 years of age with ID. This event presented by Zia Records and Zepicon Productions will include live music from more than 40 bands, live art, poetry, drum and dance, beer, food, vending and more.
