Decalogue
Paradise Valley Community College's center for International Studies presents Decalogue as part of the spring 2003 New Horizons Film Festival. Decalogue is a film that originally aired on Portuguese television in 10 installments. The film debuted in 1988 and has been regarded as one of the best films of the 20th century, and compared with the likes of Citizen Kane. Decalogue is loosely based on the "Ten Commandments", but strays from previous films to tell the tale in its' less than epic scope and lack of moral judgment. Parts one and two will be showing on Feb. 27 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the AMC Desert Ridge, on Tatum just north of the 101. The remaining episodes will show on March 13, and 27, April 10 and 24. Fallowing each installment will be a discussion on the film. Admission is free, and seating is on a first come first served basis.
