In the Mood for Art?
Phoenix's own Heard Museum is celebrating our state's rich heritage with the 45th annual Guild Indian Fair and Market. On March 1–2 the festival will celebrate by showcasing art work, Native American music and dance performances, book signings, art demonstrations, code talkers, and Native foods. There will be activities for all ages. The event is the museum's largest fund raising event of the year. Over 525 artists and performers are scheduled to attend. Doors are open from 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m. Single day admission is $10 for adults, $3 for children 4–12 years of age, 3 and under get in free. Two day passes are available for $18 for adults. Ticket prices also include admission to the museum's 10 exhibit galleries. The Heard Museum is located at 2301 N. Central Ave. For more information call (602) 252-8848 or on the web at www.heard.org.

Improvisational Coffee
If drinking coffee and laughing is your idea of a great Friday night then drop by the Storyteller Café. Every second and fourth Friday of the month "Off the Cuff," an improvisational group, entertains patrons with their unpredictable antics. Their shows are very similar in nature to TV's "Whose line is it anyway," because the show is entirely improvisational, and audience participation is encouraged. The year round improv group is part of Mesa Youtheatre's community out reach program, which provides an outlet for young actors to show off their creativity. Shows are every second and fourth Friday of the month, at the Storyteller Café which is located at 2655 W. Guadalupe Rd. in Mesa. There is a $2 cover and required purchase of one food or beverage item.
