A farce, based on the story of a down in
the dumps man with nothing to win or lose but his life, gets harrowing
news that he only has six months to live. After his fate is sealed Oliver
Pankey, played by Andrew Nunemacher, begins to reconsider his current
situation. His lease on life begins to run low when a twist in the play
is dealt to the audience.
This play has an array of many talented actors including, Heather Biehl,
who plays Olivers fiancé.
Beverly Bryd, director, has a strong belief that theatre is important
to everyone invovled because it provides a way of communicating through
actions including plays, concerts, and musical productions. She feels
that when performers communicate the audience is given the chance to connect
on a real level. Once this has taken place a better understanding can
be found, and it becomes more difficult for people to be unkind to one
another.
Bryd is not alone on this intuition, Biehl adds, Since the time
of the Greeks, man has found importance in acting out and telling his
stories. Our stories are important, it not only reminds us who we are,
but where we came from and that sometimes its just good to laugh.
