The Poster Do you want to see a film about an older woman who hears about
a Global Network nukes in space protest and then makes a poster
for the event and suffers criticism from friends and family?
Well than this is the event for you.
On April 25 the Arizona Institute for Peace Education and Research
will be hosting a discussion. There will be a showing of the film
The Poster, which will be followed by a discussion of the
movie and the themes and issues if preesents. The event will take
place at 7 p.m. the A.I.P.E.R. headquarters on 323 E. Broadway Road

Asian Cultural Awareness
That is right April is Asian Cultural Awareness month and to celebrate
MCC will be hosting.
Not One Less, a movie about a substitute teacher who travels
from her village to find a student in the big city. The movie, which
will show on April 22 at 4 p.m. in the Kiva Room, highlights the
differences between rural and urban Chinese culture.
The second film in the festival, Shall We Dance, will show
on April 24 at 4 p.m. in the Kiva Room. It is a story of a Japanese
man who finds energy and life in a professional dance teacher.
Java, a documentary film showcases a group of American teachers
that studied in Indonesia. It will show on April 29 at 1 p.m. in
the Pima Room.
To wrap things up the final showing will be The Shower. This
is a Chinese comedy about a business man who must choose between
his family and prosperity.
