Canine Cleaning Have a stinky dog that needs a bath? Then bring that fragrant
canine out to the Red Mountain Multigenerational Center on May 17
and get it washed up. Volunteers will be washing dogs for donations
that will benefit the Friends of Animal Care and Control, and Mel's
fund.
These charities place at risk children with animals and give them
the task of training the animals for their new homes over the course
of a four week program. The children learn about the animals and
themselves.

Heavy Metal In the mood for something a little different than a stuffy museum?
There is an alternative.
Artisimo Artspace is hosting two new exhibits set to open on May
1, and run through June 15.
MCC students work will be featured in the "3-dimensional
Welded Metal Sculpture" exhibit in the east room of the gallery.

life by MCC welding students.
"Images of Interpretation" will be on display in the gallery's
west room. The exhibit will feature work by Josi Taglienti and poetry
by Gene Rister.
Special Guests will include Q-Ball who will serenade art watchers
with jazz and blues.
