May 6, 2003 Predictions of summer releases harbor very little sympathy Matrix Reloaded
Neo and Trinity are back for another pointless action packed adventure. This sequel may be disappointing for most watchers as the original gained its popularity from being ground breaking in special effects and having a thought provoking storyline. The highlight of the movie stands to be a leather-clad Jada Pinkett Smith. Bruce Almighty
Jim Carrey and Jennifer Aniston go head to head in another one of Carreys poor quality and high grossing film disasters. We smell a straight to video catastrophe and so does the studio thats why previews have been limited. This is only another nail in the coffin of Carreys stale and rotting career. The Fast and Furious 2
The only saving grace for The Fast and Furious 2 is the lack of a return from dreamy hardbody Vin Deisel. This promises to be another action film with explosions, crashed cars and no acting. Car lovers will enjoy it for the cars, but everyone else will find it as exciting as an oil change in July. This film will make money. The Hulk
The incredible letdown, er I mean hulk. If the incredible Hulk were to review this movie he would most likely say Hulk sad, Hulk smash. The sentence fragmenting Jeckyl and Hyde will grace the silver screen this summer to defeat some kind of evil and win the girl in a tale that will be mostly true to its comic book roots. Legally Blonde 2
Two words, Reese Witherspoon. This flick will follow the bubbly blonde in another nonsensical journey of hair dye and emotional trauma. If this movie is anything like the first, the highlight of the movie may just be the scenery. Some things transcend all language barriers: hot girls. And if not all her adoring fans will definitely attend. From Justin to Kelly
Two of Americas idols are hopping unto the screen. A success may ensue as many teen boppers will attend and pay the $7 to sing along with the cheesy lyrics and dance along moves. A box office hit most likely not, but enough baby-sitting money and this might be a rental for slumber parties across the nation.
