Art from MCC’s welding classes will be displayed until June 14 at Scottsdale’s Artisimo Art Space.

Beginning May 1 and continuing on through June 14, welding students from Mesa Community College are displaying various art pieces at Scottsdale’s Artisimo Art Space.

In addition to the welded works, the exhibit will also feature paintings and poetry from students enrolled at Paradise Valley Community College.

Juli Ohman of Artisimo Art Space donated the space for the show because she too was a student in an MCC welding class last year.

Ohman felt that the works created should be showcased. She said that the art has “a lot of variety, from the typical to a complete stretch of the imagination.”

Past and present art students may display their work at the show.

The exhibit is called “Contrasting Connections,” and can be seen beginning May 1 on Thursdays from 7–9 p.m. or by appointment.

The Artisimo Art Space is located at 4333 N. Scottsdale Road.
