Religious Forum

Come to the "Discovering the Differences," lecture series where the differences of Mormonism and Biblical Christianity will be discussed.
The event is sponsored by Campus Crusade for Christ and will take place from noon–1 p.m. on Oct. 31 in the Kiva Room of the Kirk Center.

Honors Lecture Series
Infectious Disease Specialist with the Arizona Department of Health Services, Dr. Peter Kelly will be shown speaking in the Kiva Room of the Kirk Center on Nov. 6. Kelley's presentation is entitled "Emerging Infectious Disease."

The event takes place at 7 p.m. and is part of a Scholarship Speaker Series presented by Omicron Beta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.

The Man Behind "The Lord of the Rings"
Learn About "Lord of the Rings" Author, J.R.R. Tolkien in a seminar being sponsored by the Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies. The event is free and will be featuring keynote speaker Tom Shippey, the world's foremost authority on Tolkien. The event will also involve book displays and door prizes.

The seminar runs from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. in the Pima room of the Memorial Union on the Arizona Sate University Main Campus, on Nov. 2. For more information, call (480) 965-9323.

Disability Workshop
Come to the Chandler Downtown Public Library Council Chambers for a workshop aiming "To enhance the Lives of People with Developmental Disabilities." The free event will be taking place on Oct. 30 and will provide refreshments. Limited seating is available, so call ahead (480) 963-4657.
