Are You Obsessive-Compulsive?
At times everyone is plagued with obsessive tendencies and idiosyncrasies,
but do these symptoms interfere with your life? Learn more about obsessive-compulsive
behavior when clinical psychologist Ron D. Kingsley speaks on Nov. 26
in a presentation called Making Sense of the Senseless: Obsessive-Compulsive
Symptoms Unveiled.
Kingsley is a nationally certified school psychologist of 20 years and
currently has his first book in press. The event takes place in the
Navajo Room from 610 p.m.
The Ethics of Terrorism
Come and listen to Dr. David Yount, Professor of Philosophy, discuss
the Ethics of terrorism in the Kiva Room on Dec. 4. Dr.
Yount will examine a definition of terrorism, discuss some arguments
as to why the 9/11 terrorist attacks are ethically wrong, question some
of these arguments, and argue that more tolerance and less violence
seems to be necessary to deal with this situation.

International Education
Enjoy a web-based slide show of sites in Ireland with a presentation
focusing on educational opportunities available in Ireland. Dr. Barry
Vaughan of MCCs Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies
will be presenting and sharing his experiencs he had while traveling
in Ireland. The presentation is in celebration of International Education
Week and has the hopes of raising interest in to looking towards Ireland
as a place to expand international education programs.
Event takes place on Nov. 21 in the Kiva Room of the Kirk Center from
noon1:15, light lunch will be served.
Health
Listen to the Vice President and Director of Nutrition at the International
Food Information Council in Washington D.C., Susan T. Borra, speak in
a seminar entitled Dimensions and Directions of Health: Choices
in the Maze. The presentation will cover topics such as infectious
diseases, lifestyle choices, aging and mental health.
