"Huzzah!" Knights, bring your Damsels
Make the trek to the Arizona Renaissance Festival. The annual festival begins on Feb. 1 and is open President’s Day, Saturdays and Sundays through March 23.

Grab your kilt and a pint of Guinness!
Come represent your favorite clan at the Arizona Scottish Gathering and Highland Games. The festivities will be kicked off with an opening ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22.

Get AID at College Goal Sunday!
This is your chance to get your much needed financial aid! This is a free event designed to help students get the grants, scholarships, and loans they need to pay for their education.

Come out and get involved in your community
The Community Involvement Expo will take place at the MCC Red Mountain campus, and is free to all to attend. Some of the agencies that will be seeking your help are Prehab of Arizona, YMCA, Arizona Science Center, and the Boys and Girls Clubs.

MCC welcomes Miguel Mendez
Mendez is a world renowned writer, and arguably the most famous Mexican American writer today. He has written over 57 major literary works over the span of his career and even nominated for the Nobel Prize.

The Bash on Ash presents the creative differences tour
The show features rap and hip hop artists of all styles. If rap is your bag then you will not want to miss it! Mic specialists from across the country are scheduled to apear including The Living Legends Crew, Bicasso, Asop and features special guest Eyeda and Abilities from the RhymeSayers Crew. With a line up like this, you will not be dissapointed. Tickets are $16.50 in advance, and are available from Ticket Master or on the day of show, Feb 4, for $18.00. The Mesa Arts Center presents it's "Out to Lunch" concert series. This features various kinds of musical performances, from "Songs of the Old West" to a saxophone quartet, so there is something for all musical tastes.

Anybody Out There?
No I am not asking, that is the name of MCC's Theater Department's up and coming production. It is a wild farce that follows the change of a shy milksop into a brave hero with six months to live. The hero finds him self in a precarious situation as bait for an FBI sting when he learns of his misdiagnosis.

Native American Arts and Crafts
8th Annual Native American Festival will take place at the Cook College and Theological School, located on 708 South Lindon ln. in Tempe. The event runs from noon to 5 p.m.

ASU gives you an incentive to look at art!
The Museums, Galleries and Collections Committee is sponsoring its first annual "We love ASU Collections." The event is an open house for the major galleries and collections that call ASU home.

Have a Ceramic Good Time
Hey! Like your art more three dimensional? Stop by the Nelson Fine Art Center. The Sara and David Lieberman Collection of Contemporary Ceramics and Craft will be on display for all to see, beginning Feb. 8 through May 18.

JAN. 16
At 9:00 a.m. a minor, non injury, accident occurred in the employee parking lot of the south of the LS Building when a school buss struck the control gate arm.

College safety took a report of a theft of electronic measuring equipment from the TC 415 and 416. The items, with a combined value of approximately $800, were taken some time between Dec. 23 and Jan . 15. There is currently no suspect information.

JAN. 22
At 12:35 p.m. a female student suffered an ankle injury when she fell while descending the stairs near the entrance of the library. She was treated at the scene by Mesa Fire Department paramedics and transported to Mesa General Hospital by a friend.

At 2:43 p.m. a male student reported that his 1995 Pontiac Firebird was broken into while it was parked in the far southwest lot between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Suspect(s) broke out his passenger side window and removed the stereo, speakers and approximately 50 CD's.

JAN. 23
At 9:18 a.m. a male student suffered an apparent seizure while seated on the south side of the PS building. According to witnesses he fell and struck his head. Mesa Fire Department paramedics responded and treated the student. He became extremely violent during treatment and required restraint for transport to Desert Samaritan Hospital.

JAN. 24
At 10:05 a.m. a minor non injury traffic accident occurred in the northeast parking lot. The two students exchanged information

JAN. 27
At 1:51 p.m. a male student suffered a cut to his left wrist while working on a die tool in a TC classroom. He was treated at the scene by college safety.
