Helping hands Assistance

Time to get involved...
Service Learning is looking for a few good hands and will be having their upcoming Community Involvement Expo.
The event kicks off on the Southern and Dobson campus in the Kirk Student Center on Sept. 3 and will continue the next day from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The Red Mountain campus will also hold this event on Sept. 8 at the same times from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
This is a great event for students wanting to either investigate the rewards of service-learning or volunteering. Representatives from a number of community service agencies will be present to answer questions.

Support Unlimited Meetings...
The Mental Health Association of Arizona is holding support meeting on Mondays fron Aug. 25 through Dec. 22 at 7:10 p.m. till 9:30 p.m. For more infomation, call (480) 994-4407 at ext. 36.

Money, money, money...
Looking for good scholarships? Then its time to contact the MCC Alumni Association. Many open scholarships are currently available for those willing to take the intiative and come down.
Applications will be accepted until Sept. 5. This gives you just enough time to grasp the chance.

Civic duty calling...
The Kirk Student Center’s Pima Room will be the spot for the Civic Engagement Lecture hosted by the NAACP. The lecture is on Oct. 22 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m.
This event will help to show participants the responsibilities of every member of the community and how to help.
