What do you think about Internet music file sharing, is the record industry
justified in suing those who download mp3’s?

“I don’t think it’s wrong. All the stars make enough money as it is. What’s the difference if we get to listen to their music for free?”	“I don’t think internet file sharing is wrong. But if the record industry doesn’t like it, they should lower their prices for CDs. I don’t think downloaders should be sued.”	“I don’t think that they should sue people. If people have the computer and everything to access it, they are paying for it. If they have the stuff, they should have the freedom to use it.”

“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that at all. People would rather have the CD anyway. A lot of downloads aren’t very high quality.”	“If you really like the band, you’d rather buy the CD anyway. Downloading songs to check out a band or whatever is okay. Suing people isn’t going to stop it anyway.”	“If it’s copyright protected and the downloader has permission, and as long as you don’t copy someone else’s files, it’s okay. But if you do steal, you’re going to get in a lot of trouble.”

“I think it is wrong. Maybe there should be a few more restrictions on it. But the record industry should probably be suing those who are making the software.”	“It is wrong, legally, as much as I’d like it not to be. But they make it too easy; why would you not?The Internet opens up a lot of things. I hope they don’t find a way to control it anytime soon”
