Women runners top PC

The men and women of the MCC cross country team were in full throttle for their meet at Phoenix College Sept. 19, which proved to be more of a challenge than originally expected.
“This was by far one of the toughest and runner unfriendly courses we have ever run,” coach Clyde Resendez said. “We have run some pretty brutal terrain, but this one, added to the extreme heat, was very tough.”
Of the five competing schools the men consequently finished last.
The women, on the other hand were a bit more satisfied with their performance finishing first.
Resendez stated, “A course like that one was not only tough mentally, but can beat you up physically — it’s self-destructive.”
