Greg Mortensen threw a touchdown pass caught by Jeff McKane. Ryan Russler threw 8 for 17 and made 2 interceptions on defense. Chase Kisler had 3 catches while Steve Kennedy had 2. Jeremiah White ran in a TD.

The Thunderbirds, ranked #15 in the country, defeated #4 Yavapai, the defending national champions.
The first goal was scored 12 minutes into the game by Jonathan Peters. Nagui Sabbagh ensured the win with a score with 8 minutes before the conclusion.
