Some soup from you...
The Community Economic Development Alliance, Inc. (CEDA), a non-profit
organization affiliated with St. Mary’s Food Bank, is holding
a canned food drive. They will be accepting canned foods and clothes
on Nov. 1.
All donations will go directly to the disabled, disadvantaged youth,
elderly victims of domestic violence and the homeless, to assist
them in getting back on their feet and improving their current situation.

Rally time...
The Thunderbird Rally will take place on Oct. 31. The event will
be hosted by the ASMCC and will be held on the Kirk Center Lawn
from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. For more information please call

This year’s Fall Bash will be touching down Oct. 29 on the
Kirk Center Lawn from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The bash will be hosted by

The Heard Museum is holding Native American Recognition Days from
Oct. 1 through Oct. 31. Designed to celebrate Native American cultures
and art.
The exhibit will include the history behind the 21 federally recognized

Annual Office of Multicultural Services Leadership Retreat. Only

Writers emerge...
The annual MCCD Creative Writing Competition has begun and is now
accepting applications for four different categories: poetry, short
story, creative non-fiction and one-act play.
The deadline is at 12 p.m. Nov. 7. All entries must include an entry
form located in the English Department Office.
All entries must be turned directly into James Cervantes, the Creative
Writing Coordinator.
