Safety not worth price

There appears to be a trend emerging in modern Western society. It is something that has been noticeable in the past, but is something that I think has become more prominent and disturbing in recent years. It is the habit we have developed of sacrificing personal freedom and convenience in favor of increased security, almost always in reaction to an isolated incident which we are afraid to treat as such

Immigrants here to stay

There is an immigration problem in this country. The desert executions of three Latino men on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, a time when Americans give thanks for the aid offered without which our ancestors would have not survived in the new world, was just another example of how the United States is failing to resolve this issue.
Every year hundreds of thousands of immigrants enter this country illegally from Mexico.
