Spotlight

Tired of scouring the internet to find that forgotten book from your childhood? If so, or if you’re an avid reader and need a change of pace for the new year, the annual Volunteer Nonprofit Service Association Book Sale may just be your ticket out of that dreary page by page slump. The VSNA is holding its annual used book sale Saturday, Feb. 7 and Sunday, Feb. 8. The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. This event is in its 48th year and has helped the community with many donations. Thissalewill help raise money for Valley nonprofit human services agencies. More than 600,000 quality used books, texts, videos, CDs, puzzles and book-related items will be for sale at bargain prices. Almost all books will be marked down to half price on Sunday, similar to a closing sale. VSNA hopes to generate enough money to give a larger donation than previous years. This will be a wonderful opportunity to explore new sections of writing and different genres and get to know a few up-and-coming authors. Admission is free, although the sale is being held at the Arizona State Fairgrounds and parking fees may apply. This will be open to the public and will give many bargain hunters an opportunity to purchase a wide selection of well-keptused books. For more information call VSNA at (602) 265-6805.
