Pioneers of beating odds
Character should be focus of Black History Month

When I was growing up, I always thought of Black History Month as a time to celebrate the achievements made by African-Americans in this country. I saw it as a time to honor the contributions that African-Americans made to this society

Voting, is there really any reason?

This upcoming election, I, along with so many others in my generation, am practicing my right to not vote.
Here’s why – and I swear not one is “just an excuse:”
As an active student, I don’t have time to vote, let alone research the candidates running and make an educated decision on who will suitably lead my country.
