Construction on the bus stop shelter is in progress .

Red tape, lane cutbacks and aggressive drivers are all recent additions to the route to school and parking. The new irritations can be attributed to the new Target store opening in July, but also a smidgen to the new bus stops that will be placed on both sides of Southern avenue. The eastbound and southbound routes will be affected. Jeff Hawbecker, city engineer for the Mesa Transit Office, stated that they are planning to finish the bus pull-out lane in the next few weeks. After that is completed, a local artist Joe Tyler will be lending his artistic view to new bus arches. The arches are already strategically placed around Scottsdale and Tempe. Mesa will be the newest city to be gifted with these futuristic bus stops. The additions will add more coverage for the rain and Arizona's high summer temperatures.
