April 6, 2004 Students Observing and Scrutinizing With gas prices on the rise, have your driving habits changed at all?

Yeah, lately I’ve seen a few more people riding it.” “Yeah, I don’t drive as much. I usually have my friend, Josh, drive over the weekends now. I drive an SUV and it’s a gas hog.” Lucinda Savinana Dance Education -18- Brett Brewer Dental Hygene -21- Kelly Bryant Pollitical Science -22- “Instead of going to any gas station place we actually travel farther to get cheaper gas -- which actually doesn’t make any sense.” “I drive slower. And we are trying to actually carpool a little bit -- me and a couple of friends.” “Yeah. I actually carpool. I carpool with two people, to school and back.” Natalia Vonsydow Field of study needed -19- J.J. Richards Electrical Engineering -19-   “I carpool. To work it’s just me and one other person, to school it’s by myself and on the weekends I leave my car at home.” “I have no choice. With my school hours and because I have to pick up my brother every day after work so I can’t carpool with anyone.”
