Car not running? No cash for gas? Now you have a new reason to ride your bike to class. Valley Bike Week, April 17 through April 25, will let any person riding his or her bike around town be eligible to win round trip tickets for two. Each time you ride your bike you will be entered to win.

Free Help…

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program will be on campus for the next few weeks to help students, senior adults and economically disadvantaged clients file their tax claims. Service learning students, in conjunction with the Internal Revenue Service, will help prepare tax forms free.
Clients should bring their W-2 forms and any other tax related support information. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. The service will run until April 10, and will be located at the main campus in the Career Center Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For those further out, MCC at Red Mountain will have volunteers on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, please call (480) 461-7393.

March 10
A student reported that her white Ford Focus was struck and damaged by another vehicle. The other driver did not leave any identifying information with the victim's car.

March 13
A non student reported that person(s) unknown broke into his 1991 Ford Mustang. He reported that his stereo, speakers and a tool set were taken. The driver's side window was broken to gain access to the car.

March 21
A minor non-injury motor vehicle accident between two students was reported in lot “A,” north of the library. The drivers exchanged required identifying information and left campus.

March 23
A student was contacted in lot “E,” south of the TC building, for parking in a handicapped space and numerous prior violations and outstanding fines.The student refused to cooperate with the College Safety officer and drove away in a reckless manner.
The student was stopped by a campus police officer and was cited for the handicap violation and reckless driving.
