Ryan Kennedy Mesa Legend
Outfielder Matt Lambeth sprints to the base in the April 6 home game against Arizona Western Community College. The Thunderbirds claimed the first game of the double header 4-2. Scott Welch was the winning pitcher in the first game and Eduardo Martinez had a double. Mesa fell in the second game 6-3.

Football team fires up

The MCC football team took to the field the last week of March as they began spring training. Head coach Dan Dunn said, “The focus is teaching - trying to get the kids to understand what their roles, what their assignments and what their techniques are.”
Dunn said all areas of the football team need improvement at this time.

Ashley Wisecarver reaches home plate during an MCC softball double header on April 10. Both Games were close and the Thunderbirds ended with one win and one loss against opposing Glendale Community College.
