Highlights of president’s visit to MCC

*South Campus parking lots close in anticipation of the president.

* Some classes are canceled near the area where Bush is scheduled to speak.

* Bush arrives on campus about 4 p.m.

* Bush holds “Conversation on Jobs in the 21st Century” at Theatre Outback, recapping State
of the Union proposals and talking to MCC students about their successes in the college’s Business and Industry Institute.

* Arizona Representatives J.D. Hayworth, Jeff Flake, and Trent Franks along with other politicians and VIPs attend the Conversation.

* Bush announces he would like to see $250 million given to community colleges for job training.

* About 80 to 90 protesters gather south of the Theatre Outback to voice anti-Bush sentiments.
