Spring breakers to party despite danger warnings

This spring break many students will be enjoying their time off by booking rooms south of the border, despite a University of Arizona Police Department announcement, asking tourists to refrain from visiting Mexico this March.
The report states that visitors commuting through the northern borders of Mexico avoid travel due to “violent criminal activity increased as a byproduct of war between criminal organizations struggling for control of the lucrative narcotics trade.”

 

‘Habeas Corpus’ revenues to benefit scholarship fund

Mesa Community College’s Stagedoor Players were ready to unleash their latest production titled Habeas Corpus as the curtains opened Friday, Jan. 28.
Habeas Corpus, written by Alan Bennett, is a farcical comedy relating to the laissez-faire time of the 1970’s. Britain had just lifted the censorship ban and these folks had a lot to say.

They are yellow, blue, red, and various other colors, and plenty of students are wearing them on their wrists to make a statement.
At only $1 each, it does not seem like it could save anyone’s life, but if millions of them are sold it has the possibility of making a huge difference for people living with cancer.
