“I
think it is being aware of your blessings in this country. And
paying taxes and voting, and teaching your children to love
America and to serve it.”
I don't think
it exists. I don't understand buying flags for $20. I don't
think that's patriotism, that's commerce.
“It's loyalty
and commitment to the basic foundations of our country. The
spirit of our fore-fathers, of the constitution, that everyone
has an equal right and equal chance.”

“Patriotism
is being willing to stand up for the country and also speak
out when the country is wrong. It means to uphold the law as
best you can; laws can be changed and there is room for improvement.”
“It means
standing up for your country. It also means a lot of killings
and war.”
“Patriotism
should be personal and not outspoken. Waving a flag doesn't
mean that you are patriotic.”
