Ballet Folklorico dance to come to MCC in May

World-renowned teacher, Silvia Lozano of Ballet Folclorico Nacional de Mexico will be teaching Native Mexican Folk dance (Ballet Folklorico) to MCC students May 16-26.
Lozano will be teaching both males and females from ages 12 years old and up.
Students will be educated in native Mexican traditions, dance, and music. Also costumes specific to Ballet Folklorico will be used throughout the class. The costumes students will be wearing will be brought up from Mexico City to be worn during the performance. To enhance the creativity and overall production of the performance, professional lighting will also be used.
Students will displaying their newly found knowledge of Native Mexican Folk dance in a performance following the end of the class on Friday, May 27, at 7:30 p.m., at MCC’s Theatre Outback.
Enrollment is already open and class size is limited. Students will receive 1 credit for the class. Register for DAN120AD 0960.
