Mesa soars to victory

On the eve of Thanksgiving, the Mesa Community College men’s basketball team delivered an early holiday treat to visiting Luke Air Force Base by dropping 109 points on them and pushing their early season record to 4-0.


T-Birds advance to the Nationals

The Mesa Community College Women’s soccer team finished their season Nov 20, earning a #6 spot in the national rankings and compiling an impressive 20-5 overall record.

T-birds shootout set for Jan. 3-4

What has been the Rotary Basketball Shootout for the past 21 years will now become the Thunderbird Shootout and will be held Jan. 3-4, 2005, at Mesa Community College.


T-birds finish strong
Despite losing their last regular season game 28-23 to #7 nationally ranked Scottsdale Community College on Nov. 11, the Mesa Community College football program has reason to celebrate.


Alum runs for stroke victim

By the time someone finishes scanning the headlines of the morning newspaper, a person in the United States has suffered a stroke. According to the American Stroke Association website every 45 seconds someone suffers a stroke and every three minutes someone dies because of a stroke.

Loss to Salt Lake college drops Lady T-birds to 1-4

The Mesa lady Thunderbirds came out of the wrong end of a hard fought basketball game, Nov. 20, that ended in a 58-55 loss against Salt Lake CC.
