Band kicks into high gear

Royalty returns for 2-month fest


The 17th Annual Renaissance Festival will open Feb. 5 and will run eight consecutive weekends, through March 27. The festival will be held Saturdays and Sundays, including Presidents’ Day Monday.

Has anyone has ever wondered what Japan does to celebrate Feb 14?
Emi Ochiai Ahn, in the Foreign Language Department, was born in Japan, and is presently the Japanese teacher of both traditional and online classes. She has firsthand knowledge of the culture.
Valentine’s Day follows immediately after National Foundation Day on Feb 11, but the celebration is not nationally recognized.


 

Attention deficit disorder:
Not just a child’s disease
Not just for children

More and more adults who feel distracted, disorganized and fidgety are being urged to seek help for Attention Deficit Disorder or ADD.
What was once thought to be a children’s disorder is now transcending to every age group.
Some see the national ad campaign as a way to educate the public about a little-known condition; others said pharmaceutical companies are trying to convince members of the public that they have the disorder to increase the demand for its new medication.
