Mesa Community College will be hosting an event on campus that is sure to benefit all American Indian students who are in need of financial aid information. The American Indian center and the Financial Aid office are sponsoring a Financial Aid Open House Feb. 17, from 1-6 p.m. in the Navajo Room, which is located in the Kirk Center.
All American Indian students in the valley-metro area can stop by to obtain information pertaining to financial aid planning. Various scholarships and training programs will be made available to those who attend.
Representatives from the 22 Arizona Tribal Higher Education Offices and Workforce Development Training Programs will be present along with many other scholarship representatives from the American Indian Services, the American Indian Education Foundation, the Association of American Indian Affairs, the BHP Billiton-New Mexico Coal, Catching the Dream, and Indian Health Services.
This opportunity will prove to benefit some American Indian students because some are unable to travel to their Tribal offices to process the information necessary for financial-aid assistance.

For more information, please contact the program advisor, Loretta Damon, at (480) 461-7154 or e-mail her at loretta.damon@mcmail.maricopa.edu.
