IDEAS AND OPINIONS

Legend's View:

Don’t limit the experience a college education gives

Walking to and from class in the middle of the campus courtyard throughout the semester you will see an abundance of representatives of all kinds of different things and vendors selling their wares.

SOS:

What would you do if you were required to read materials for class that you considered to be offensive?

Lobbyists need to be truthful

Walking to and from class in the middle of the campus courtyard throughout the semester you will see an abundance of representatives of all kinds of different things and vendors selling their wares.
If you walk around ASU you will see even more including ones that are representing their respective Greek organizations. Then of course there is my personal favorite the impassioned preacher castigating us as sinners.

ASMCC has nothing to hide

I am quite disappointed in the editorial staff at the Mesa Legend after reading the editorial chastising the advisor staff of the office of the ASMCC. I take exception that the Legend thinks ASMCC has something to hide from the student body.

Bush’s actions are pro-death

President Bush is “pro-life” on the abortion issue. But he is clearly “pro-death” in opposing life saving stem cell research, cutting Medicaid benefits, resisting expanded health insurance coverage, ignoring 35 million Americans below the poverty level, opposing stronger gun control laws, weakening endangered species laws, overlooking thousands of annual global warming related deaths, and in not promoting greater penalties for cigarette companies.
