Despite inexperience tennis teams hope to have solid season

The MCC men’s tennis coach, Becky Opoien, highly anticipates what is to be a “powerhouse” season. With several matches already under their belt, the team hopes to be playing into May, when the national championships occur.

Quest for fourth straight conference title to drive Thunderbird baseball

Pride and tradition run through the veins of the MCC baseball program, from the fans to the coaches and players.
The 2005 team made the NJCAA Division II World Series, won both the region and district titles, and finished No. 6 in the NJCAA Division II polls. All these accolades show the T-Birds are major players in junior college baseball.

Softball opens season with mediocre start

Only two starters of the MCC softball team remain from last year’s 44-win team, but expectations for the 2006 season are high.
After advancing to the semifinals in the NJCAA Region I Division II playoffs and ranking as high as No. 4 in the nation for 2005, the Thunderbirds are counting on new talent to duplicate last year’s success.
