Drama portrays life’s ups and downs
“It’s an intelligent study of human relationships...”
- Gary Stephens
MCC at Southern and Dobson will host Arthur Miller’s
1949 Pulitzer Prize winning drama, “Death of a Salesman.” The
play takes the audience through the last days of Willy Loman, a salesman
failing in the world of business and entrepreneurship. Just when he thinks
he has conquered what he considers the “American dream,” a life
of economic stability and respect, he finds himself without job, money and
sanity. Willy can’t accept where life has taken him and seeks to find
out what wrong path has taken him to such discontent.
“It’s an intelligent study of human relationships especially
of husband and wife and father and son,” director Gary Stephens said.
The production stars MCC alumnus Jeff Slaker as Willy Loman. This play will
be held in the Theatre Outback on Feb. 23, 24 and 25 at 7:30 p.m.
