Soccer signings have players on the move

Sal Galvano has yet to officially be the MCC men’s
soccer coach for more than a month, but the New York native has been making
great use of his time.
Trying to make the transition between head coaches as smooth as possible,
Galvano as been meeting with current MCC soccer players, recruiting new ones
and helping several Thunderbirds advance to the next level in college athletics.

After a six-month adventure, the MCC men’s basketball
season came to a close just before Spring Break.
Having locked up the fourth and final playoff spot in Division I of the
ACCAC, the Thunderbirds not only knew they would be playing beyond the regular
season, but against Cochise College in the first round.
Cochise spent a majority of the season ranked in the top 10 of the NJCAA
national poll and rose to as high as No. 3 in the country.

Shooting woes sink women’s
squad against SCC

It is extremely difficult to beat a team three times
in one season, as the MCC women’s basketball team found out in an
opening round playoff game on March 7 against Scottsdale Community College.

The MCC men’s and women’s track teams have
always had great success and it seems to be continuing this season as both
teams are coming off strong performances at the NJCAA Indoor Championships.
