Baseball cruising along as No. 2 team
in nation

With a current record of 33-12, Thunderbird baseball is
having a great season thus far. But considering that MCC has made the playoffs
17 times in the last 20 years, it’s not much of a surprise.

tennis teams head in opposite direction

It has been an unusual year for the Lady T-Birds tennis
team.
In 32 years with Penny Powell at the helm coaching the women, the team had
never experienced a losing season until the 2006 season. The team has a
mere 4-8 record in the ACCAC and is 7-10 overall.
Thunderbird softball gaining momentum
before playoffs

Shaking off a rough start to the 2006 season, the MCC
softball team has gotten into a good groove as of late and are playing outstanding
ball.
The Thunderbirds have moved into second place in the ACCAC’s Division
A standings after surpassing Glendale Community College with an overall
record of 33-15-1.
Tillman’s legacy serves as
reminder of sacrifice for those who give sacrifice

It will soon be two years since the death of Pat Tillman.
It is something that I thought would never happen in the first place, but
is now something that makes my stomach turn every time it is discussed.
And it’s not only because he was killed by friendly fire, but because
of the lies and cover-ups.
