IDEAS AND OPINIONS

Legend's View:
Caring doesn’t end here
How long will people care about the devastation caused by
Hurricane Katrina?
Most people will stop caring after the media stops coverage, yet the people
affected will need national attention long after the camera crews pack up.
It seems America’s attention span may be too short to handle a national
disaster.
SOS:
What are you doing to get your money’s worth at MCC?
Student’s
time should not be wasted
Heather Cutler
Editor-In-Chief
When a student pays tuition for the semester, he or she
expects to get a quality education and learning experience in return. And
at MCC, this is usually the course of events; however, there always seem to
be a few bad apples in the bunch.
Your investment, your responsibility
Rebecca Straughmatt
Mesa Legend
I hear the majority rule that, “I paid for the class,
and I pay the teacher to educate me. It is the teacher’s responsibility
to give me the best education he or she can.”
Buzzer sounds – wrong!
Being a woman is important enough
Nicole Hadley
Guest Writer
Why must women have to come across as feminist extremists
in their efforts to make a mark in this world? Why must a woman have to prove
she is as good as a man in order to be considered important? In the realm
of feminism, it is still a man’s world.

I just want to give you my reactions to that article you
wrote that appeared in (the Sept. 13) issue of the Mesa Legend.
