Caring doesn’t end here

I just want to give you my reactions to that article you wrote that appeared in (the Sept. 13) issue of the Mesa Legend.
I agree with the message of your article. Yes, it is true that society has many people in various occupations which aren’t as glamorous as those of entertainers, but, then we cannot do without those various occupations that one would not ordinarily call glamorous such as stock clerks in supermarkets, etc. People like stock clerks certainly deserve to be rewarded more than they have been.
Many years ago, I read a similar opinion that said that entertainers are “vastly overpaid” in relation to the benefit and usefulness that entertainers bring to society.
But, of course, that does not mean that entertainers should be underpaid. A highly-talented performing artist who has spent many hours of practice in his/her area of talent certainly deserves to earn a comfortable living, like many other people do - but without being overpaid.
